BN 90 FF Hash

BN 90 FF is traditional pressed hash in its classic form: resin collected, warmed, pressed hard into a block and sealed. It arrives as a stamped brick — that stamp is the grade marking, and it's how this line has been identified on the wholesale market for years.

The look is unmistakable once you've handled it. Dark golden-brown with a dense, slightly waxy surface that catches the light, and a firm body that still gives under a thumbnail. Cut into it and the inside shows the same colour as the outside, evenly pressed with no soft spots or hollows.

This is a working-weight product. It's sold in 30g through to kilo blocks, and it's the one to buy in bulk if you know what you like.

Sweet and earthy on the nose, with a warm spice and a faintly leathery, resinous edge underneath — a deeper, more savoury profile than our blonde and soft lines. It's a rich smell rather than a bright one.

On the hit it's smooth and substantial. The effect is full-bodied and heavy rather than heady: a warm, settling stone that comes on over the first ten minutes and then holds steady for a good while. This is squarely an evening smoke. It's not the one for a productive afternoon.

Pressed hard, so it needs a touch more care than the softer hashes. Warm a piece between your fingers for a few seconds and it'll crumble cleanly rather than tearing. From there it works anywhere — through a joint with flower, crumbled onto a bowl, or in a pipe.

Rolled with flower it burns slow and even and stretches a joint a long way, which is part of why the bulk sizes make sense: a little genuinely goes a long way with a hash this dense. If you're new to pressed hash, start with a smaller piece than you'd use of the soft line and give it fifteen minutes.

Sealed, cool and dark — the standard rule for pressed hash, and this one holds up better to a cupboard than the soft lines do. The hard press means it's less prone to sweating, so short-term storage is forgiving.

For the larger blocks, keep the brick wrapped and sealed between uses rather than breaking it all down at once — pressed hash keeps its texture and character better in one piece than in a pile of loose crumbles. If you're keeping a kilo for any length of time, a cool dark cupboard or the fridge both work. Bring it to room temperature before opening in either case.
